not to mention, that doc beef lost the 2009 championship at homestead, going in with a 44 point lead....with tony stewart. remember that? not a good day to be be named mrs. nealon....oh, how the expletives must have been flying...

well congrats to kiss the wall on their first nascar league championship. a great run down the stretch that is well deserving of the jackpot.

24 weeks....almost 6 months.

THAT is how long doc beef has been leading this league.

and with 1 week to go, he has handed the lead over to the surging kiss the wall team, who had been on a tear of late. winning 3 races in 5 weeks....only have 2 starters outside the top 12 in the last eighteen weeks.

THAT is how you win this league, my friends.

the good news for doc beef is that only 15 points separate him from the top spot.

tony stewart against whom next week? ragan, junior, kahne or newman? maybe logano? should be interesting....

it looks like high speed pursuit has locked in the 3rd place money, although he could always pull an A-game and start harvick for the 3rd time...you never know.

as for the bonus money, there are 4 teams in genuine contention....yours truly being one of them. however, according to my stupid "copy Luzr2win's 2009 lineup" strategy, that leaves me with hamlin. but so does eat my dust. look for me to mix it up in the final week to go after that bonus money....
